What kinds of information does Global Sawdust collect?  

We collect information from you when you are placing an order, engaging with the forms on the site, or using the site's features. You do not need to sign into the website to access the website; you can visit as a guest. When you place an order, we will gather your name, address, email, credit card information and other information as well. All of this is gathered by Shopify and stored on their secure servers behind firewalls as noted below and on their website’s privacy statement itself. Please refer to their privacy statement. When you use our services, we will use this information to process transactions, prevent fraud and comply with the law. Like all major online retailers, we use cookies to enhance your experience and protect against fraud. We use your information for the following. To enhance your experience and show you more of what you want, to respond to your customer support emails that you send us, to process your orders and get you the product you’ve requested. Once you order a product, submit a form, or request information, we will add you to our contact registry. You may unsubscribe at any time you would like. We retain Personal Data in an identifiable format for the least amount of time necessary to fulfill our legal or regulatory obligations and for our business purposes.

 

What do we do to make sure your information is secure? 

Global Sawdust is hosted on the Shopify.com platform. Shopify provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you the consumer. Your data may be stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and the general Shopify applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall and the website is SSL protected.  

All direct payment gateways offered by Shopify and used by Global Sawdust adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. Do we use “cookies” on our website?

 Yes we do use cookies.
